BOARD OF EDUCATION LIASON
Attends Board of Education meetings and reports back to the PTSO pertinent information.
HARDING REPRESENTATIVE
Acts as a liaison for all Harding parents. We are happy to have a Harding Parent as part of the Executive Board.
HOSPITALITY
Provides refreshments at PTSO meetings and refreshments and chaperones for the Holiday Dance
JUNIOR SCHOOL LIAISON
Responsible for maintaining the lines of communication between the High School and the Junior School.
MADISON MUSIC ASSOCIATION LIAISON (MMA)
Attend monthly meetings of this actiive group of parents representing the Music Department of the entire Madison School District, reporting key information to the PTSO. MMA raises funds and sponsor musical events for all the schools.
MADISON ALLIANCE AGAINST SUBSTANCE ABUSE LIAISON (MASSA)
Serve as an active member of MASSA, attending their meetings and reporting to the PTSO. MASSA “is a community based coalition dedicated to preventing the abuse of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.” MASSA tries to connect and support other local groups dealing with adolescents.. amd sponsor many programs for the community.
NEWSLETTER
The PTSO publishes a monthly newsletter posted on the website. A paper copy can be requested. The newsletter provides information not only about the High School but about issues concerning the entire district. All upcoming events and happenings are listed on the calendar page giving dates and times of specific school events. Class Parents, the Madison Music Association and MAASA all use the newsletter to advertise and include order forms for their current fundraisers. Dances, Plays and Special Events are always announced with times and ticket information. Please read the MHS Newsletter to keep informed of important issues at the High School.
STAFF APPRECIATION
The administration, teachers and all the staff work together for the benefit of our children. Throughout the year the Staff Appreciation Committee plans special events to thank the staff for their service. This year the Committee held a breakfast for the staff. In the coming months they have planned some special treats including the Staff Appreciation Luncheon.
STUDENT DIRECTORY
The Student Directory is provided as a resource for the parents and students of Madison High School and is not to be used for commercial or solicitation purposes. Its primary use is for contacting other parents for social occasions your child wishes to attend or for make carpooling arrangements. Students may find it useful to contact fellow students to inquire about missed school work, homework assignments or arranging meetings for group projects.
