Our guidance counselors work to help each student succeed in school and reach his or her potential. Students have the same guidance counselor for all four years of high school and will see the guidance counselor on a regular basis each year to help guide progress, address challenges and answer questions.   Counselors meet individual with students to help: Choose a course schedule for each year Advise on improving study skills and motivation Facilitate student/teacher conflicts Listen to personal problems on a confidential basis, and help students acquire skills to work through problems Assist with post-graduate planning In addition to individual work with students, counselors: Meet with groups of students to share information and discuss common issues Help organize and monitor all standardized tests given at the high school Keep an eye on academic progress of all students.
