Dear MHS Soccer Supporter,

Soccer season is in full swing! Players, coaches – and the Booster Club - have been preparing for a fun and successful fall. The Booster Club supports all five high school soccer teams, working to enhance the experience of MHS soccer players and families and to support coaches’ program goals. This is accomplished through the activities listed below. Also shown below are the fund raising activities you can support to allow us to accomplish our goals.

§ A spring welcome reception for incoming 9^th grade parents and a summer kick-off dinner for players and families.

§ Team parent liaisons and a Booster Club website providing timely updates throughout the season.

§ Financial support for the coachs' programs as needed

§ Scholarship awards for a senior boy and girl are given based on sportsmanship and team contributions on and off the field. A senior girl and boy are also eligible for a scholarship awarded by the Madison Soccer Club.

§ Two end-of-season banquets, one each for girl and boy players, coaches and families, are organized and subsidized by the Booster Club.

§ Ongoing donations to the Madison Athletic Foundation for the installation of the High School turf field.

We support our activites through several fund raising events and donations. Details of the 2011 fund raisers are:

§ Fall Flower Sale - Beautiful fall flowers available for pickup in late September. Order forms are sent to all Madison School system parents (via the online summer packet) and MHS parents enjoy the ease of picking up orders at back-to-school night.

§ Pancake Breakfast - High school players help the Madison Elks host a pancake breakfast for all Madison-Harding Youth Soccer players.

§ Car wash - Players provide elbow grease.

§ Nautilus Diner in Madison and other local restaurants will donate a portion of receipts on one night dedicated to support of MHS soccer. Click the restaurant name for dates and times.

Many of you already contribute time and talent to the program, and we appreciate your commitment. If you would like to get more involved with the club, please let us know or join our next meeting. Here’s to a great season!
