If I am not mistaken, I think we had a full week of school this week (with one delayed opening.)  Hooray!  Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring a visit from author, James Preller, this week.  The students enjoyed learning more about his life and inspiration for his array of literary work.  Many students were reading his books during our DEAR time this morning.  These were two great ways to cap off our "Read Across America" celebration.

I hope to see you tonight at 7:00 P.M. for TJS's annual musical, Willy Wonka Kids, directed by Mr. Dan Malloy and Mrs. Tina Smith.  Our fourth and fifth graders have put so much time, effort, and energy into this production and it's really paid off.  Don't miss it!  Front doors will open at 6:30 P.M.

We have another exciting event coming up next week, the annual TJS Science Fair, sponsored by the PTO.  The fair will take place at 7:00 P.M. in the Jaguar Jungle.  Come and see innovation and engineering at work!

The mural project is off to a great start, but we are still in need of volunteers, particularly for the "touch up" stages, after the students paint.  Please follow the link to the Sign-up Genius in the PTO section of the email.

Madison High School will be performing "Footloose" this year.  Performances will take place from March 22nd through March 24th.  Follow this link for more details!

    Playground Update:
We made it outside today!  Tree removal was performed yesterday, and while progress has been made, there is still a lot of cleaning up to do on the grounds.  Once the snow melts and the field dries out, we will be able to get proper equipment in the rear of the building to thoroughly remove all of the debris from the storm. In addition to the snow, there is a ton of mud and puddles throughout the property.  Please send your children to school with appropriate footwear for these conditions, and you may want to even throw a couple extra pairs of socks in backpacks, just in case.
