Although we have all been preoccupied with the weather and school calendar, instruction has gone on!! As I traveled through the classrooms today, I was pleased to see engaging lessons being delivered and our inquisitive students deepening their understanding of material with accountable talk. One way in which the TJS teachers implement accountable talk is through book talks. I've attached an article, Get Them Talking! Using Student-Led Book Talks in the Primary Grades, written by Alida Hudson, if you would like to learn more about it from a teacher's perspective.
