    Thank you for joining us for Curriculum Night, it was a great evening!  There are a few attachments for your review this week, including information regarding PARCC and NJSLA Science testing as well as class placement.
     
    Monday and Tuesday, 4/23 and 4/24, will be SINGLE SESSION DAYS due to parent/teacher conferences.  No lunch will be served in the cafeteria.  Pizza will be provided both days if pre-ordered through the PTO.  A form is attached with more information.  School hours are as follows:
     
    Grades 1-5, 8:40 A.M. – 12:45 P.M. 
     
    Morning Kindergarten: 8:40 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. 
    Afternoon Kindergarten: 10:40 A.M. – 12:45 P.M.
     
    Thursday, April 26th is "Take Your Sons and Daughters to Work."  If you plan to take your child to work with you, please report the absence as you ordinarily would or feel free to let us know in advance.
     
    Despite the chilly weather, May Day is almost here.  Please take a moment to read this message from Steve Alcorn, the TJS May Day coordinator:
     
    Hello everyone,
     
    Time again for May Day - Torey J.
     
    It will be Saturday, May 5, and as always there will be beautification efforts all over town.  Our efforts at Torey J. will be from approximately 8:30-11:00 (8:00 for anyone who wishes to help set up), and there will be an after-party (pizza, music, etc.) at 11:00 at the Hartley Dodge building in town (across from train station).
     
    The work will be be general outdoor cleanup/weeding/mulching/trimming.
     
    Please reply to me at MayDay.ToreyJ@gmail.com with your name, the number of volunteers in your family, troop, etc., and how many of each shirt size you will need (Available sizes: Youth medium, Youth Large, Adult M, L, XL, XXL). 
     
    The town and I will provide some supplies, but they are limited, so PLEASE bring any of the following you can (wheelbarrows, pitchforks, rakes, gloves, clippers/shears).  And as with anything you bring/send to school - it's best you put your name on it.
     
    We will provide water and healthy snacks.

    ​PTO Update:
    Mr. G's After-School Enrichment --
     
    The registration deadline for Table-Top Games and Sport Stacking with Mr. G has been extended to Monday 4/30. Please note, Table-Top Games will not start on Tuesday, April 24 due to the half day. The 7 week program will run from May 1st-June 12th. Sport Stacking will run as scheduled April 26-June 7th. If your child is interested in participating, please return the form below with payment to your child's teacher as soon as possible. We need a minimum number of students for the programs to run! Please visit the PTO website for registration forms and more information about the programs.
     
    TJS Jamboree will be on Friday June 3rd!! Be on the lookout for more information regarding volunteers and more very soon!

    PTO Appreciation and our final PTO meeting of the year will be on Thursday, June 7 at 7:30 pm at Daddy Matty’s BBQ. More info on that to come.
