• Coach Kubik grew up in Clifton, New Jersey where he graduated from Clifton High School in 1989.  He graduated from Montclair State University where he received a BS in Health and Physical Education in 1995 and a MA in Educational Administration in 2005.

    Coach Kubik began his teaching career in 1995 at Lacordaire Academy in Upper Montclair where he served as a teacher and Athletic Director for one year.  He followed that experience by working as a high school and elementary teacher in the Verona Public School District for six years and at New Brunswick High School for five years.  Coach Kubik was hired during the 2007-2008 school year to teach Health and Physical Education at Madison High School.

    Coach Kubik began his football coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Verona from 1992 to 1994.  He was an assistant at Whippany Park in 1995 and 1996.  He went back to Verona in 1997 and served as Defensive Coordinator from 1998 to 2001.  He became the Special Team Coordinator at New Brunswick in 2002 and served as Defensive Coordinator from 2003 to 2006.  As an assistant, Coach Kubik has been on coaching staffs that have appeared in the playoffs 10 times and won State Championship titles in 2001, 2003 and 2006. 

    In 2007, Coach Kubik was hired as the Head Football Coach at Madison High School.  In his thirteen seasons the Football Dodgers have earned a record of 99-41 and made nine playoff appearances.  In 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2016, the Football Dodgers won the North Section 2 Group 2 Championship.  
    In 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016, the Football Dodgers won a Division Championship. 

    At Lacordaire Academy, Coach Kubik was the Head Varsity Girls' Volleyball Coach during the 1995-1996 Winter season and the Head Varsity Softball Coach in the Spring of 1996.  He spent two seasons as the Head Varsity Girls' Volleyball Coach at Verona in the Spring seasons of 1997 and 1998.  Coach Kubik has served as a Weight Room Supervisor in Verona, New Brunswick and currently in Madison.
    Coach Kubik has two daughters, Angela and Jennifer and currently resides in Oak Ridge.
