    I.  Course Description:

Honors Algebra 2 is a course for accelerated students and is primarily offered to sophomores who have successfully completed Honors Algebra I in the eighth grade and Honors Geometry in the ninth grade. It strengthens skills that were acquired in Honors Algebra I and extends these skills and concepts in order to prepare the student for study in mathematics on a more advanced level. This course will explore and apply the concepts of number systems and functions (linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, radical, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric) and their graphs. The concepts of higher degree equations and inequalities, sequences and series, and probability, are developed, as are data analysis concepts.   The calculator is used to assist the student with the study of concepts and problem solving
