    We made it!  On behalf of the entire Torey J. staff, I'd like to thank you for your support throughout the year.  Collectively, our accomplishments have been great, and I am looking forward to lots of good things to come in the 2018-2019 school year.  For those families leaving Torey J., we wish you all the best and thank you for your contributions to our school community.
    Third trimester report cards are now available for viewing in the Genesis parent portal.
    Class placement letters and other pertinent information will be sent electronically in mid to late August.  Please make sure we have your current email in our system, as hard copies will not be mailed home.  For fifth grade families moving to Madison Junior School, please visit MJS's website for information on summer assignments.
    The main office will be closed Monday, June 18th through WednesdayJune 20th.  We will reopen on Thursday, June 21st and hours during the summer will be from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.  Please call prior to coming to school to ensure someone will be there to help you. 
    Our annual open house will be on Friday, August 31st from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M.  Back to School Night will on Wednesday, September 12th at 7:00 P.M.   Picture Day will be Thursday, September 27th.  We will update our website with other important dates as they become available. 

    There will be some shifts in staffing for the upcoming year.  Mrs. Karen Smith will be moving from first grade to special education and Ms. Emily Perritt will be teaching first grade.  TJS will also benefit from a full-time guidance counselor next year.  I'm excited to announce that after a lengthy process, Mrs. Judy Bletcher will be assuming the role come September.  Mrs. Bletcher has served TJS for over a decade as a teacher and her knowledge of the district and instructional practices will be of benefit as our guidance counselor.  Be on the lookout for opportunities to get to know Mrs. Bletcher in the fall.  You can always reach her at bletcherj@madisonnjps.org as well.  Ms. Erica Tavaglione will be full-time at Kings Road School and she and Mrs. Bletcher have been working closely to ensure a smooth transition.  Other staffing for the 2018-2019 school year will be as follows:
