Team 6A wants to celebrate some students who represent several of the characteristics of a good citizen. Those two students are selfless, respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others. These two students are honest on time and always look out for their fellow classmates. Who are those two students? Isn’t it obvious as one girl and one boy between the ages of 10 and 18 are going to be the Leaders of the Month for November. These two amazing students are……... both model students that set a positive example for their peers working hard not only for themselves, but to help their peers as well. Congratulations to Giada Opperman and Peter McGuire for being the Team 6A Super Citizens for the month of November! We are proud of you and all of our students who are future leaders!
Team 6B has 2 wonderful leaders of the month for November. Brenda Valencia Herrera and Andrew Haviland. Both Brenda and Andrew are exemplary students. They both arrive to class with smiles on their faces, focused and ready to learn. They lead with quiet dignity and always give 100% in everything they do. When working in groups they demonstrate inclusive and respectful leadership. The students of 6B are lucky to have Brenda and Andrew on their team. They show us everyday what it takes to be upstanding citizens of MJS.
Aiden Shah approaches each class with a quiet but sharp focus and asks meaningful questions, setting a great example for others around him. Students who are paired with him for small group work can vouch for his ability to stay on task, and he does it in a way that makes all people feel valuable and included. Aiden models true leadership in and out of the classroom, and we are so proud of the growth he's shown. Go Aiden!
7A's second Leader of the Month is Cassie Jennings. Cassie is very quick to pick up new concepts and works hard to incorporate them into her own day to day work. She's a quick learner, and a big part of that is her steady work ethic and the care she invests in each task, no matter how big or small. Day in and day out, Cassie models what it means to be a leader at MJS, and her quiet but sharp sense of humor keeps us laughin
7B would like to recognize Sophia Barahona and Asher Medunick, both of them who are model citizens. They are team players and are constantly looking out for others by lending a supporting hand. They are kind, respectful, and have a tremendous work ethic. They are true leaders at MJS.
Team 8 A would like to nominate Mariano Lopez and Mary Johansen for leaders of the month. Both students display active participation and citizenship within the MJS community. They both go out of their way to help other students and teachers. Mariano and Mary are to be applauded for their contributions to their MJS classes.
Team 8B would like to nominate Tim Garrity and Angelina Christoffers as their leaders of the month. Both students display model citizenship in the classroom by being kind and considerate to their peers and teachers. They are always willing to help a fellow student in need, and have a strong drive to succeed with their academics.
