Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed some downtime during the winter break and wish you a year filled with health and happiness. We have several educational enrichment assemblies and workshops throughout the month, as well as a new cycle of after-school enrichment classes. Many thanks to the continued efforts of the PTO to maintain these offerings for the students. This week's message is brief and there will be more to share as the month progresses.Children whose parent(s)/guardian(s) live in Madison and who will be five years old on or before October 1, 2019 are eligible to register for Kindergarten beginning in January. Please see the attachment for more information on the process.Guidance Update:
With the fresh start of the new year comes new and exciting counseling programs at TJS. The first being “TJS Gives Back,” a day of community service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, on January 22. Please see the attached notice for further details. I have been visiting classrooms over the course of the week to explain the donation process and BRIDGES program to our students. A second initiative on the horizon is a peer mentoring program open to students in grades 1-5. Please be on the look-out for more information in the coming weeks!
