    Calendar Reminders:
    Valentine's Day Parties:  Thursday, February 14 in classrooms; teachers will coordinate with classroom representatives.  Wear pink or red!

    TJS PTO Update:
    We have a few exciting things happening, so let's get right to it:

    TJS PTO Adult Social 2019
    We cannot wait to host our annual TJS PTO Adult Social on Saturday evening, March 9! In order make this event the success, we need your help. Please consider one of following:
    1. Donate A Golden Ticket Raffle item - i.e. jewelry, tech gadget, think BIG - what would you want to win?   Individual donations, groups of families, and neighborhoods have contributed in either purchasing an item outright, or letting us do the shopping. 
    2. Become a Host and Hostess for Parties!  Who doesn’t enjoy a great night out of food, activity and friends?  Wine Tasting, Poker Night, Margarita’s in May, Karaoke, Ladies Night, Paddle/Tennis events have all been great times in the past.  Gather a few friends to help host, pick any idea/theme old or new, Psychic Reading Party, Trivial Pursuit Game night, Couples Night out at a local Madison restaurant, BBC Night - Boys, Bourbon & Cigars, Family or Adult Escape Room Outing determine the size, date and location.  Please reach out out to Roberta Rickli rmrickli@gmail.com or Melanie and Kara toreyjsocial@gmail.com for more details.  
    TJS Educational Enrichment Author Visit
    The TJS PTO will welcome Matt de la Pena to our school on March 11th. Matt is the 2016 winner of the prestigious Newbery Award for the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children and a #1 New York Times best selling author. Please visit http://mattdelapena.com  so your child can learn more about the author and his works.
    The PTO will be in the Jaguar Jungle during lunch on Friday, February 15th with some samples of his books. We will be conducting a book sale BEFORE his visit. The deadline for advance book sales is Wednesday, February 20th. Matt will personally sign the pre-ordered books.     Support Madison, Support TJS at Taste of Madison
    What are you doing on Monday, March 18th?  Meet us at Taste of Madison! This is another great opportunity to support our great town while also earning money for TJS.  Purchase your tickets to Taste of Madison for $65 or VIP for $100, and our PTO will receive $25 for every ticket we sell.     Important Dates:
    • Monday evening, March 11th - The TJS PTO will be hosting “A Night Under the Stars”! The Pearl Observatory is coming to TJS to teach us about space. We will have several telescopes set up outside on the TJS field, and a pop-up planetarium in our Jaguar Jungle. Stay tuned for more details...it will be out of this world! 
    • Wednesday, April 3 - The annual TJS Science Fair is coming! Students from Grades 1-5 are invited to participate and show off their creative and scientific abilities. For more information, click here.
