• Dear TJS Families,
Spring break is here!  I hope the students have an enjoyable and restful week off.  We will see you again when schools reopen on Monday, April 15th.  If you're staying in Madison for the break, come plant some carrots in the TJS Learning Garden. Please check out the invitation and garden update to learn more.
The STEAM fair this week was fantastic!  Thank you to Sarah Smith and the PTO for organizing and managing this effort.  I'd also like to acknowledge Mr. Erdreich, the robotics team, MHS students, and of course the creative and inventive TJS students for a successful event!
It's time to nominate a teacher and educational services professional of the year!  The district is seeking one teacher and ESP per building.  An educational services professional refers to guidance counselors, Child Study Team members, therapists, nurses, reading specialists, and more.  We have so many dedicated educators working with students in a variety of capacities.  The eligibility criteria is attached for your reference, as well as a nomination form.  Please return completed nomination forms to me by April 29, 2019.  This is a great way to thank a teacher or ESP who has shown compassion, dedication, and innovation.
Our instrumental music department will be hosting a parent night to learn more about all the offerings for elementary students. This program is geared for third grade parents to better understand expectations related to band and orchestra prior to the start of fourth grade, though all parents are welcome.  Please see the attached flyer for more information and RSVP here.
The MEF 5K is right around the corner!  For more information and registration, please visit https://www.mefnj.org/.
