October is always an exceptionally busy month! Next week is "Respect Week." Please review the attached letter from Mrs. Bletcher for more detailed information. Each day will have an optional, spirited theme if your child would like to participate! There are numerous school-wide activities to look forward to in the month of October! First, I’d like to highlight the upcoming, “Week of Respect,” occurring next week, 10/7-10/11. All students will have the opportunity to learn and sign-off on our, “No Place for Hate” promise, participate in, “Heyday!” and express random acts of gratitude and kindness. Come get your pumpkins at the Torey J Pumpkin Patch! The Family Fun Committee is organizing this school-wide event for Friday, October 18th from 3:30-4:30pm near the TJS Learning Garden. Enjoy Friday afternoon with your friends while decorating pumpkins and getting in the Halloween spirit. Light snacks will be served. You must sign up by October 11th, form is attached!!
The 5th graders attended Camp Bernie today for team building activities. Clad in their unique TJS sweatshirts they were sure to have enjoyed time with classmates on the ropes course & rock wall. Big thanks to Karen Leary & Hilary Tabish for organizing the sweatshirt orders this year.
A very special and creative thank you to Carmlina Giordano & Beth Fitzgerald for all their hard work getting our first online TJS spirit wear shop up & running! We can’t wait to see all our students showing their Torey J spirit in their new clothes!! (could have used that umbrella yesterday, hope you purchased yours!!)
Thank you to all who supported our Fall mums fundraiser. You should have picked up your mums at J&M last Saturday and hopefully are now enjoying some Fall flare at home along with this (finally) Fall-like weather! A special thanks to Maria Beacom and Alison Aromando for organizing such a successful fundraiser.
