• I was not expecting the 3:30 A.M. phone call or to see Madison in the news today!  I sincerely hope you are all safe and well.  Please note that next week is a short week due to the NJEA Teachers' Convention.  Schools are closed Thursday, November 7th and Friday, November 8th.  A great project to work on during the break is a Book Fair poster!  Since school is closed on the 8th, entries will be accepted through Monday, November 11th.  Stop by the main office for paper.


    The students were thrilled to get the parade in yesterday.  Thank you for joining us!  The talented Marching Dodgers always add to the excitement and fun of it all.


    Guidance Update:

    You are cordially invited to join the Madison School District 3 Elementary School Counselors for an evening program, Social Emotional Learning in the 21st Century, An Overview of the Madison School District Elementary Counseling Program. Please mark your calendars to join my colleagues, Brett Levine (KRS) and Michael Shugrue (CAS) and I to discuss the new elementary school counseling curriculum.  We will highlight special programs and trends in social emotional character development as it pertains to the elementary school counseling program in our schools. This event will be held on Wednesday, November 13th 2019, at 7pm at the Kings Road School, All Purpose Room.     PTO Update:


    TJS will be hosting the annual Book Fair on November 20th, 21st, & 23rd. All the information and details are attached. Please Volunteer to help set up/take down the book fair, or help students pick books using this link: TJS Book Fair Volunteer Sign Up 


    Students... get creative and design posters for the 2019 Book Fair! See the attached flyer for more information. The deadline for submission is November 11th.


    SAVE THE DATE! On Saturday November 23rd the TJS PTO is sponsoring a family fun run/walk. The event will start and finish at Torey J, just in time for all of the special events at the book fair.


    The International Dinner held last Friday was a great success! Approximately 70 people attended, representing 13 countries, including Ethiopia, France, Pakistan, China, Peru, Germany, India, Italy, Brazil, Switzerland, Columbia, Indonesia, and Lebanon.  They enjoyed food, conversation, and children played for two hours on Friday night in the Jaguar Jungle.  Thank you to all who made this possible! We look forward to making this a yearly event.  There are a few photos attached.
