Dr. Janet Testerman

Dr. Janet Testerman received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Rutgers University. While she was teaching Physical Science, Physics, Earth Science, AP World History, AP Physics and AP Psychology in Naples, Florida she received her PhD in Educational Leadership from the University of Miami. After teaching for 20 years in Naples and raising her three children to adulthood Janet relocated to Kuwait. There she worked for nine years in Gulf University for Science and Technology coordinating and teaching in the writing program and teaching education courses to aspiring Kuwaiti teachers. She has enjoyed visiting nearly 40 countries.

Dr. Testerman has several publications including Transforming from Christianity to Islam: Eight Women’s Journey published by Cambridge Scholars Press and two book chapters; one entitled Inception and the Illusion of Conscious Free Will and another academic chapter called Challenges and Channels: English Language and Literature at a Crossroads of Cultures. She has presented papers on effective pedagogy in conferences in Venice, Kuwait and in the USA. She has written, won and administered grants for both educational research and to develop school-wide programs to improve the academic lives of at-risk students.
