Happy New Year!
I hope all of our TJS families enjoyed a wonderful and restful winter break. We were excited to welcome the children back to school yesterday as we begin the second half of the 19-20 school year! Thank you for your warm welcome to your school community. I am honored to be here and look forward to working with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.
2020 is already off to a busy start here at TJS! With the support of our gracious PTO, students will have the opportunity to participate in a day of service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. “TJS Gives Back” will take place on January 21 this year. Last year we sent over 350 lunches that helped feed local people in need. My hope is that we can exceed this number this year! Please view the attached flyer on the bottom of the update for more specific information regarding food and monetary donation items regarding “TJS Gives Back.” I will be popping into classrooms early next week to teach students about BRIDGES and give reminders about the giving process. I am requesting that students bring all donations to school by Tuesday, January 14. Our 5th Grade Peer Leaders will be organizing all of these items at their next meeting. Thank you in advance for coming together as a school community and supporting this initiative. Best, Judy Bletcher
