Mrs. Ariana Ciolino
I would like to welcome you to Performing Arts! You will be learning about acting, musicals, public speaking, and much more! I hope that this will be a fun, challenging, and intriguing course for you!
*There will be random material checks that will count as a homework grade.
Along with the school rules, these are the rules that have been established in each class:
1. Be Respectful
2. Be Prepared
3. Keep hands, feet, objects and words to yourself
4. Raise your hand and do not call out
5. Stay on task
6. Follow safety rules and procedures
1st offence: First Warning
2nd offence: 20 pts off participation grade
3rd offence: Send out to TOR/Parental Contact
*Participation/discipline counts for 50%. Please be advised that if a student receives points in my class, their grade will reflect this.
**I will not tolerate any disrespect in my class. I will not tolerate any student engaging in behavior that is not in the best interest of the class.
Homework/Notebook/Material Check: 25%
*Please note that I may randomly check a “DO NOW” or “DO LATER” assignment which will count as homework grades.
When does Performing Arts meet? Please fill in your day and time:
Are there any performances/presentations?
The only time you will have to perform/present will be in front of myself and the class.
What else do I need for Performing Arts?
You will need a pencil, eraser, folder and notebook for class each day. You may find it useful to get a binder so that you can keep everything together.
So, what kinds of things will affect my grade?
Remember, everyone starts each marking period with an A! Keep it that way!!!
