• Jackie Young/School Nurse

I attended William Paterson University ,NJ and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I  started my career as a Registered Nurse at Morristown Memorial hospital. I  worked on the Oncology  floor and was a certified chemotherapy specialist. After several years, I changed direction and became a  Utilization Review and Quality Assurance team member. I worked  in several New Jersey hospitals collaborating with doctors, social workers and discharge planners to assess length of stay and quality of care issues. When my children were both in school I decided to  attended Caldwell College, NJ and became a certified school nurse. I started working as a school nurse at Kings Road School. After 5 years I transferred  to Central Avenue. I  completed my Masters in Education at Cambridge College, MA.  I enjoyed my classes and the many weeks I spent in Boston. I recently received a certificate in Emergency Management for Schools from Southern Utah University.

I moved to Madison 12 years ago with my husband John and two sons John and Jeffrey. John is a 2017 graduate of Rowan University with a degree in Criminal Justice.  Jeffrey will be a junior at Wentworth College located in Boston, MA this fall and is majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

I love the beach and spent much of my summer there. I also enjoy reading and swimming. I am very much looking forward to another great year at CAS!
