Homework in Fifth Grade
Students will have homework every night in varying subject areas. District policy states that fifth grade homework should take between 45-60 minutes. This does not include free reading.
The purpose of this homework is to review and reinforce skills and concepts learned in school, and in some cases encourage students to challenge themselves.
Homework will be posted in the classroom daily. Students shall write down homework assignments in their student planners.
Homework is expected to be completed neatly and handed in on time. Students are held responsible for missed homework and are graded accordingly. Consistently missed or late assignments will affect your child's grade.
