    The success of the Marching Dodgers and MDBC is only
    possible with the help of Marching Dodger families.

    The following are times during the year when MDBC needs the support of Marching Dodger families to volunteer, donate items or participate in the fundraising activities.

    JANUARY - PANCAKE BREAKFAST

    Volunteers needed: Cook in kitchen (4) Replenish food (2-3) Clean-up (4)

    Open to public – bring the family to dine-in or take-out

    APRIL - ANNUAL CAMPAIGN

    MDBC membership mailing

    Family membership to MDBC is strongly encouraged

    MAY -POOR HERBIES (Restaurant partnership)

    MDBC to receive 10% of all sales Open to public – bring the family to dine-in or take-out

    JUNE – CAR WASH

    Sell vouchers

    Donations needed: Old towels, Donuts, Bagels, cream cheese/butter, Coffee/creamer/sugar Water

    JULY/AUGUST/SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER/NOVEMBER

    Volunteers needed: PIT Parents

    Practices/Competitions – set up large Jarvis Podium and transport to and from practice field Competitions – load/unload instruments and equipment/props onto truck, set up and take down props on field, and unload truck on return to MHS

    Home Football Games – transport large Jarvis Podium to and from practice field, set up and take down props on field for half-time show, transport equipment back to band room

    Purchasing Competition Tickets / ACC Tickets All tickets for competitions (away/home) should be purchased from Mr. Batsch. The money he collects for ticket sales stays with the Marching Dodgers Tickets purchased at away competitions remain with the hosting school

    JULY/AUGUST– MARCHING DODGER MERCHANDISE

    Merchandise for sale by MDBC – t-shirts, magnets, stadium seats Merchandise for sale online at http://www.teamgearinc.com/madband. Store open July 23 – August 25 – Merchandise arrives September 25

    AUGUST – BAND CAMP LUNCHES

    Volunteers Needed: Solicit restaurants Coordinate lunch orders/track payments Pick up food from restaurants Set up/ serve/ clean up

    Donations needed: Fresh Fruit, Baked items

    OCTOBER - TOURNAMENT OF BANDS HOME SHOW

    Program Ad Sales – visit local merchants to sell advertising Volunteers needed (approximate # of people needed per 3 hour shift):

    Set-up/Clean-up: Everyone available

    Gate: Take tickets/sell tickets & program (6 people)

    Food Hut (6 people per shift)

    Grill: (6 people per shift)

    Candy Grams: (3 people per shift)

    Air Grams: (3 people per shift)

    Bake Sale: (3 people per shift)

    Bleacher guard (1 person per shift)

    Donations needed: Baked goods, Water, Ice

    Items needed to be borrowed for day: Tables, Canopies, Coolers

    OCTOBER/NOVEMBER ATLANTIC COAST CHAMPIONSHIP (ACC’s)

    Possible Family cost for overnight to Hershey, PA for ACC’s

    NOVEMBER: CHIPOTLE (Restaurant Partnership)

    Open to Public -Bring the family to dine-in or take out Chipotle to donate portion of sales to MDBC

    DECEMBER: END OF YEAR BANQUET
