Madison High School Key Club
What is Key Club?
“Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.”
Basically, Key Club is an excellent way of becoming involved and giving back to your local community. Specifically, Key Club focuses on helping the children of the world. It provides you with many opportunities every week to serve others, and also serves as a weekly reminder of the duty to serve others.
What are “points”?
Points are just a way of keeping track of the service that you do. Service should be done for others, not for points, but this system allows us to make sure your efforts don’t go unnoticed.
1 point = 15 minutes (1 Key Club meeting)
2 points = 30 minutes
4 points = 1 hour
How do I get points?
It’s simple! Come to the weekly meetings, and sign up for as many volunteer activities as possible. Bring in food for bake sales, sign up for various volunteer activities, stay after meetings to hang up posters… The possibilities are endless!
How many points do I need?
In order to fully qualify as a Key Club member, the goal is to achieve 100 points by the end of the year.
How do I become more involved?
- We are always open to suggestions for volunteering opportunities! If you ever come across an organization or worthy cause, you can talk to the leaders after a meeting, or just email our Key Club teacher advisor, Mrs. Gabel at firstname.lastname@example.org
- Follow us on all of your social media accounts! We will follow back :)
Sign up for our Remind 101! This will remind you of our weekly meetings, volunteer opportunities, important dates, etc.
Thanks everyone! Looking forward to a great year of service :)
