• Mathematics Curriculum

Madison Public Schools offers a comprehensive K-12 mathematics curriculum aligned with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.

Students must take a minimum of 15 credits (3 years) of mathematics at Madison High School.  As a graduation requirement set forth by the New Jersey Department of Education, effective with the Class of 2014, all students must complete and pass math courses with content in Algebra and Geometry.

In lieu of the NJASK in Grades 3-8 and the High School Proficiency Assessment in Mathematics in Grade 11, students will be taking the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC).  The PARCC will be administered to all students in Grades 3-8, as well as for those students enrolled in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2.
