• I am excited to be entering my sixth year as the Principal of Central Avenue Elementary School.  As always, I am looking forward to continuing to work with all stakeholders to provide a strong learning community where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.  In conjunction with the wonderful staff at CAS, I believe in a student-centered approach that will give students the strategies and skills to be successful at the next level and beyond.

I joined Madison ten years ago as Assistant Principal at the Junior School.  Previous to that role, I was an Assistant Principal at Oak Street Elementary School in the Bernards Township District.  In additon, I was a K-12 District Supervisor of Social Studies, supervised the gifted and talented program, instructional support program, observed and evaluated K-12 staff, provided professional development to staff and parents, and worked with basic skills teachers.  Previous to my roles in administration, I was a teacher, coach, student council advisor, and mentor.  All of these experiences have given me an appreciation of the whole child and how important the school community can be in promoting change that enables students to be successful.

Currently, I live in Berkeley Heights, NJ with my wife Michele (Who is a Reading Specialist).  We have two boys, Michael (11 years old) and Vincent (9 years old) who play a wide array of sports that keep us very busy. I have season tickets for the New York Jets, like the Yankees, camping, fishing, traveling, playing sports, and visiting my parents’ homes at the Jersey Shore and on Lake Wallenpaupack in the Poconos.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or have any concerns!  I know with your support we can make CAS the best place possible for all students!

    Optimistically,
