Ileana Sing was appointed as the Torey J. Sabatini Principal on December 17th of 2019. As a thirteen year educator, Mrs. Sing believes that experiences at the elementary level cultivate a love and foundation for future learning. Therefore, she is committed to fulfilling the district’s mission and goals, promoting the high achievement of all students and empowering every child in an equitable environment.
Prior to joining Madison, Mrs. Sing served as K-12 Regional Curriculum Coordinator for five years in the Quad-Districts (Allendale K-8, Ho-Ho-Kus K-8, Upper Saddle River K-8, and Northern Highlands High School 9-12) in Bergen County. She also taught first, second, and third grade in the Upper Saddle River and Paramus School Districts.
Mrs. Sing’s academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree from The College of New Jersey, where she obtained certifications as Teacher of Preschool through Grade 3, Elementary School Teacher, and Teacher of Art K-12. From there, she pursued a Master’s degree in Literacy from William Paterson University, earning certifications as a Reading Specialist and Supervisor. She then completed the NJEXCEL program to obtain Principal certification. As a lifelong learner, Mrs. Sing is also proud of the extensive Orton-Gillingham training that she has received through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education.
Mrs. Sing resides in the Panther Valley community of Allamuchy Township with her husband, Jason. In their free time, the Sings enjoy traveling the world and going on new adventures with their French bulldog, Diego, alongside them.
