MHS Service Learning

The Madison School District will inspire and challenge all students to be life-long learners, empowered with the knowledge, skills, and character to shape their futures, realize their dreams, and contribute positively to the world.

The community of Madison and Madison High School have a long tradition of helping those in need. Whether through extracurricular activities like Key Club and Interact or through service elective offerings, MHS students and their faculty advisors make a significant and positive impact on the school and surrounding community each and every day.

Students are encouraged to document their volunteer service so that we can recognize their efforts at the annual Volunteer Fair and Awards Assembly. During the assembly program, students receive awards for completing in excess of 25, 50 and 100 hours of volunteer service per calendar year. To document their service hours students are asked to complete a Volunteer Service Tracking Form which is posted on the Volunteer Service Bulletin Board or online by clicking here.

To learn more about any of the service opportunities, contact Diane Fastiggi, Service Learning Coordinator. Please visit the Clubs and Activities website section for information about service organizations in the school.
