Madison School Community members,
Please be advised that additional information has been provided which requires us to amend our 10/22/20 communication regarding a positive case of COVID-19 within the Madison Junior School community. Based on this additional input, it has been determined the individual was last present in the school building on Monday, October 19, 2020 rather than Friday October 15, 2020 as initially reported. The Madison Department of Health has confirmed their use of the most recent data in order to further engage in contract tracing. Therefore, the district has been notified that any potential close contacts associated with this case have already been contacted by the Madison Department of Health.
Community members should be aware that these individuals and any other affected individuals will not be physically present in school until they meet NJDOH criteria for return. For reasons of privacy, the school will not be providing class-level or individual-level notifications regarding this matter.
While the district is committed to accurate and thorough communications regarding all instances of COVID-19 within our school community, amendments to such messages may be required as circumstances evolve and additional information is obtained.
