Seniors are reminded that all events being held are meant to celebrate the Class of 2025 and the culmination of their four years at Madison High School. Members of the Class of 2025 must be in good academic standing and on pace to graduate in order to attend. The rules that govern behavior in school apply to all school-sponsored events. The use of alcohol or other drugs, including vaping devices, at any school sponsored event is prohibited. Students will be disciplined according to school policy and will be unable to participate in any of the remaining activities, including the graduation ceremony.
Thursday, May 29th - Senior Awards Night, Auditorium @ 6:30 pm
Only seniors receiving awards will be invited to attend
Seniors and their families will be notified on May 20th if they are receiving an award
Seniors receiving an award are expected to attend
Dress Code - Slacks, Tucked in Button Down or Collared Polo, Dresses, No flip flops
Friday, May 30th - Senior Decision Day
Senior Decision Day celebrates every member of the senior class and all of the exciting plans they have made or are continuing to make for next year. Whether that decision is the military, the workforce, vocational training, or a two or four year college, students are encouraged to decorate the cars and wear attire that indicates their decision. The Guidance Department will hold a celebration for seniors with food and prizes in the courtyard during the support period that afternoon.
Monday, June 2nd - Baccalaureate & Yearbook Distribution, Front of Madison High School @ 6:30 pm
In the case of bad weather, the event will be moved into the auditorium
Annual tradition to celebrate graduates and their families with Musical Performances, Poetry Readings, and Letters read by Parents, Teachers, and Students
Yearbooks will be distributed to seniors at the end of the evening
All seniors and their families are invited to attend ; Must bring lawn chair or blanket to sit on if the event is outside
Dress Code - Casual
Wednesday, June 11th - Senior Prom, Valley Regency, Clifton, NJ @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Students attending prom must attend the full half day of school (7:45 am - 12:06 pm)
Any student that is not in attendance for the full half day, will not be permitted to attend that evening
Prom bids are $90 per person and will be on sale during the support block on May 19th, 20th & 21st in Room C32
Charter Bus will depart from Madison High School at 5:00 pm for those who sign up
Charter Bus is $30 per person and students can sign up when they purchase a prom bid
All other seniors must provide their own transportation
Only members of the Class of 2025 that purchased a prom bid and their guest will be permitted to attend
Any student bringing a guest outside of Madison High School must submit this form to the main office
All attendees must be under the age of 21 years old
Tables will consist of 12 students; Table captains will provide a list of students at table upon purchasing prom bid
Any student that decides to leave the event early, will not be permitted to return
Thursday, June 12th - Graduation Practice, Madison High School Football Field @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
In the case of projected bad weather for graduation, practice will be moved to FDU
Seniors are required to attend if they plan on attending graduation
Collect Outstanding Obligations - Chromebooks, Textbooks, Uniforms, Lunch Balances, etc.
Distribution of Caps & Gowns if nothing is owed, Review Procedures, and Pronunciations of Names
Thursday, June 12th - Senior Barbecue, Madison Community Pool @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
In the case of bad weather, the event will be moved back to the high school
Only members of the Class of 2025 that purchased a barbecue bid will be permitted to attend
No outside guests or underclassmen
Event is $25 per person and tickets will be on sale during the support block on May 19th, 20th & 21st in Room C32
Lunch, snacks, desserts, and drinks will be provided by the American BBQ Company
Dress Code - Relaxed ; Students may wear bathing suits if they wish to swim
Friday, June 13th - Graduation Practice, Madison High School Auditorium @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Graduates will be provided eight tickets to an indoor graduation ceremony (no limit if outdoors)
More information regarding tickets to an indoor graduation will be distributed separately
Seniors must arrive and meet in the MHS auditorium at 5:30 pm regardless the location of ceremony

Stage will be in endzone opposite the scoreboard
Seating will be available in both sets of bleachers, on the track, and on the field behind the graduates
No one will be permitted in the facility until 5:00 pm

Friday, June 13th - Project Graduation, Branchburg Sports Complex (after graduation ceremony)
The final event of the year for the Seniors. This non-school sponsored, post-graduation event is a great opportunity for seniors to celebrate their success. Celebration is a drug and alcohol-free event – in a safe, closed environment – which is sponsored by parents and the community of Madison.

Suggested cost for the event is $60
Checks can be made payable to “Madison High School Project Graduation” and mailed to Irene Rodin at 24 Crestview Avenue, Madison.

Buses leave from MHS after graduation ceremony at approximately 9:00 pm and depart at approximately 1:00 am
Seniors can change out of their gowns in the locker rooms after the graduation ceremony.
After graduation (and pictures) and by 8:30pm, we request that seniors go into the MHS locker rooms to change into comfortable active wear and give family any of their belongings other than necessary items such as keys, wallet, and phone. As per BSC rules, NO BAGS ARE ALLOWED. There are no exceptions to this rule. It is for the safety of our students. If a senior has any belongings that they did not pass along we will bag them and the chaperones will safely store the belongings on property.
