We've had a busy start to the month of January at TJS! Today students participated in our Day of SERVICE in honor of MLK Jr.'s legacy to help others. Dear TJS Parents/Guardians:
Today, September 5, 2024, we completed a scheduled fire drill. Captain James Blair was present for the fire drill. The drill went smoothly as students, faculty, and staff followed the appropriate procedures.
Each month we are required to conduct two scheduled safety drills. One drill is a fire drill and the other is a mandated security drill outlined by the Office of School Preparedness and Emergency Planning.
In 2022, Governor Murphy signed a revision to the NJ School Drill Law that requires schools to provide written notification to parents/guardians upon the completion of drills. This communication serves as your single notice that we will conduct monthly fire drills moving forward. You will, however, be notified each time we conduct a security drill at TJS.
At the start of the school year, we discuss the importance of safety drills with students, but please feel free to discuss the importance of these drills with your child at home as well. Thank you for your continued support.
