Kings Road School is one of three elementary schools in the Madison School District, serving students in grades K-5. We provide basic education, enrichment opportunities and special needs programs. We have approximately 289 students and 15 classroom teachers. Our academic program includes language arts, mathematics, computer technology, reading, science, social studies, world language, physical education, art, library skills and vocal music. Students also have opportunities to participate in instrumental music, the Madison Young Playwrights program, chess club, peer mediation and an enrichment program for gifted and talented students. All fifth grade students are trained in the D.A.R.E, a substance abuse resistance program taught by members of the Madison Police Department.

Parents are very involved in our school. The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) activities include cultural arts programs, fall fair, spring benefit, library aides, book fair and school store. We also have a School Level Planning Committee that provides input on a variety of school issues.
