Class of 2026 Lawn Signs
The deadline for families to purchase a graduation lawn sign for their senior was March 13th. We are extending the deadline to Friday, March 27th. No requests will be granted after this date. Those families interested in purchasing a one for their senior should complete the linked form and follow the instructions within.
Sibling Photos for Yearbook
The yearbook is looking for pictures of seniors who have a sibling that also attends MHS. Sibling pictures are due Friday, March 27th and can be emailed to Ms. Bratton (brattond@madisonnjps.org).
Scholarship Opportunities
There are several scholarship opportunities available to the Class of 2026. Many of the scholarships offered have very few applicants with deadlines at the end of March and early April. Please consider applying and reach out to Ms. Redmond in guidance with any questions.
Financial Aid Presentation
On Thursday, April 23rd, the Madison High School Guidance Department is sponsoring a follow up Financial Aid Presentation by Ed Zamora at 7:00 pm on Zoom. “The Senior College Prep Program” will cover the financial aid process and the important items to consider before High School Seniors attend Freshman year of college. Those planning on attending should register by clicking this link to receive the webinar link.
College Merit Scholarship Recognitions
Any senior that is receiving a merit scholarship, not financial aid, from the college they plan on attending or a scholarship outside of those offered through Madison High School, please reach out to Ms. Mikula (mikular@madisonnjps.org) by Friday, May 8th. Please submit a copy of the official letter or announcement of the award, which must include the name of the college or educational institution or organization awarding the scholarship, the name of the student, and the name and amount of the award.
College Application Tracking
Seniors must remember to input college application results in SCOIR as they begin to hear back from their applied schools. This helps us better track the trends occurring each year with college acceptances. Seniors should also be withdrawing applications from schools they have applied to if they have already committed to the school of their choice.
NJ Financial Aid Graduation Requirement
The state of New Jersey passed a graduation requirement last year that makes the completion of a financial aid application form a prerequisite to obtaining a diploma for public high school students in the Classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027. Please click this link for additional information and the waiver form. If you have additional questions, please contact your child’s counselor.
