Madison Schools Community,
The district was informed today of a new confirmed case of COVID-19 within the Madison High School community. Based on their review of the case, the local department of health has indicated that potential close contacts within the school community appear unlikely. Therefore, school closure and/or large-scale quarantining are not being recommended.
Community members should be aware that this individual will not be physically present in school until they meet NJDOH criteria for return. For reasons of privacy, the school will not be providing class-level or individual-level notifications regarding this matter. NJDOH contact tracers will directly reach out to any individuals that may have experienced close contact and will advise those individuals and the school accordingly.
Please be advised the district continues to take every precaution to provide a safe and sanitary learning environment for staff and students. Please continue to be vigilant and diligent in your safety efforts.
