The district was recently made aware of concerning circumstances regarding the potential exposure of a number of students within the Madison Junior School community. While it has been reported that the point of exposure occurred outside of school, the district is not yet aware of the degree to which this has impacted our students. Given the nature of the concerns, the district has chosen to transition MJS to an entirely virtual format of instruction for tomorrow, November 4, 2020.  All staff and students are instructed to remain home.

Please be advised the schedule will remain the same as originally planned (A-Day). This temporary closure will allow the district to work directly with the Madison Department of Health in order to engage in comprehensive contact tracing and notification.

Should this one-day period of remote instruction need to be extended, the community will be notified accordingly.

Please continue to exercise good judgement to ensure that students and adults do not gather in unsafe settings, especially indoors.
