JOHN LAPIERRE, COORDINATOR OF TECHNOLOGY

John LaPierre has been a member of the Madison Public Schools Technology Department for eighteen years. He started his career in Madison as a Technology Support person and was promoted to the position of Technology Coordinator in 2005.

Mr. LaPierre is responsible for the maintenance and expansion of the district networking, communications, and computer systems as well as leading the tech team in support of our students, faculty, staff, administration, and Board of Education. His duties also include oversite and coordination of state reporting and district events such as graduation and assemblies.

The LaPierre family has a long tradition in the Madison Community. Mr. LaPierre's great grandfather immigrated to Madison from Italy in 1905 where he built a house and worked in town as a mason. His grandfather lived in Madison and was employed by the borough of Madison for most of his working career, as was his mother who worked for the Madison Board of Education for 35 years.

Mr. LaPierre is proud to continue the tradition of service to the Madison Community and holds a special fondness for the city that his family has worked in for decades. He lives with his wife, Holly, and two daughters in Mount Olive. His hobbies include restoring classic cars, boating and spending time with family.
